Lyric videos for worship and choir: a five-step setup for volunteers

The media team changes every week. The projector is old. Half the congregation is over sixty and sitting at the back. Here's a repeatable setup that any volunteer can follow in fifteen minutes.
Step 1 — Keep one preset, forever
Open D107, build one preset: dark background, very large type, warm white active line, soft dimmed next line. Save it as Sunday. Nobody touches it again. Consistency matters more than cleverness on a projector.
Step 2 — Use the recording you actually sing along to
If the band plays live, record a rehearsal take and sync to that — the tempo will match Sunday better than the album version. If you use a licensed backing track, use that.
Step 3 — Lyric sheet from your CCLI/SongSelect account
Copy the lyrics you're already licensed to display. One line per sung phrase. Keep repeated choruses written out so the sync matches.
Step 4 — Sync, proof the first verse, export
Drop both files in the Builder. Proof verse one and the first chorus. Export 1080p MP4 into a Worship/YYYY-MM-DD folder.
Step 5 — Play from anything
The MP4 plays from ProPresenter, PowerPoint, VLC, a TV's USB port — no internet, no login, no "the account expired."
Why not just use slides?
Slides need someone clicking on the beat. A synced video frees that person to actually worship. The trade-off is a little build time up front — done once, reused every time the song comes around.
FAQ
Do we need Copilot credits? No. Copilot is optional sheet cleanup. Everything above uses the Builder only.
Can we add a Scripture reference or the CCLI number? Yes — presets support a footer line. Put the CCLI license number there once and it's on every export.
What resolution for an older projector? Export 1080p regardless; the player will scale. Large type in the preset is what matters.
